What is henna?
Brow henna is a longer lasting, natural alternative to a classic brow tint.
what hair types can have henna?
The henna we use here at Artemis comes in five different shades ranging from blonde through to black!
This means not only will we have the perfect shade for your hair type, but we can actually custom mix a whole range of colours to suit your individual needs.
Is it okay for people with sensitive skin?
Brow henna is actually recommended for people with sensitivities over regular tint! It's made with natural plant based materials and is peroxide and ammonia free!
If you are concerned though, we're more than happy to patch test your skin first!
How long does it take?
The henna process itself usually takes between 15-20 minutes.
A standard henna appointment 35 minutes, this gives us time to prep your brows, mix the henna solution and determine the perfect shaped brow for your face.
If you book in for a brow henna and sculpt that is usually a 45-50 minute appointment to allow time for the wax and shape of your brows.
How long does it last?
Ideally henna will stain the skin for 1-2 weeks and the hair for 4-6 weeks.
Results may vary depending on your skin type, the products you use and how well you care for your brows.
Does it hurt?
Henna feels a lot like having a brow tint. We mix the powder into a paste and apply it to your brows, there should be absolutely no pain!
What are the benefits of henna over tint?
Not only does henna last longer than tint it can also stimulate natural hair growth. This makes it perfect for people with patchy, sparse brows!
It's also a really great option for people between fills with their cosmetic tattooing, it gives you a bit of an extra boost without the microblading.
Can you henna lashes?
Unfortunately at this stage we can only henna eyebrows, but we will keep you posted if this ever changes!

LASH LIFTING
What is a lash lift?
Lash Lifting is a beauty treatment that gives the appearance of volume, curl and length to your natural lashes. Using a silicone rod we mould your lashes up into a beautiful 'c' shaped curl, this ensures that none of the lifting lotions used touch any sensitive areas of the eyes.
We lift, condition and tint your lashes, then when we rinse the tint away you'll be left with flutter worthy luscious lashes that will make everybody envious!
Is it okay for people with sensitive skin?
The procedure is perfectly safe and loved by women all over the world! If you do struggle with sensitive eyes and you're at all concerned we can do a complimentary patch test before your lash lift to ensure you won't have any reactions.
How long does it take?
The lifting process usually takes around 30 minutes.
However your appointment with us at Artemis will be 45 minutes as unlike most salons we include a lash tint with your lift instead of it being a separate booking or add on service.
If you book in for a lash lift with brow henna we can do this appointment in 45 minutes as there is processing time for each service.
How long does it last?
Lash Lifting uses your natural lashes and it will last from 6 to 8 weeks.
As with any treatment, results can vary from person to person.
We recommend getting another lash tint around 4 weeks post lift to keep them looking dark, lush and long.
Does it hurt?
Lash Lifting is a totally painless and non-invasive.
will it damage my natural lashes?
The chemical procedure used in lash lifting is perfectly safe and gentle on your natural lashes. Every part of your appointment including processing is timed to perfection and we will care for your lashes as if they were our own.
what to do before a lash lift
All we ask is that if possible you arrive with no eye makeup on and that if you wear contact lenses you take them out before we start.
can i wear mascara after my lash lift?
Absolutely! If you want to enhance your lashes even more, just wait 24 hours afterwards and then you can use your favourite mascara!
can i use makeup remover?
You sure can but we usually say wait 24 hours before you do, and to make sure it’s oil free.
my lashes are curlier than I'm used to, what can i do?
We can actually reverse the curl of your lift in 10 minutes! So if you're feeling a faint tickle on your glasses or like maybe they are curlier than you'd like just send us a message and we will reduce your curl.
