spray tanning

everything you need to know!

what do i need to do before my tan?

Before your tan be sure to exfoliate your skin really well with a non oily scrub and that any shaving or waxing has been done at least 12 hours prior.

can i shave before or after my tan?

We recommend any hair removal to be done at least 12 hours before your tan. If you are shaving after your tan we recommend at least 12 hours after, gentle and as infrequently as possible as shaving is a form of exfoliation.

are there things that can affect my tan?

For best results possible we ask that when you come to your appointment you don't wear any moisturiser or deodorant. These products can create a barrier on your skin and stop the tan from developing properly in some areas.

We would also like to note that moisture lock type shower gels can sometimes leave a film on your skin for up to 24 hours. So as great as these products are, if you use one please avoid in on the day of your tan.

what should i wear to my appointment?

Loose dark clothes and if you need to wear a bra afterwards choose one that doesn't have straps.

will my clothes get stained?

Your clothes will get some tan on them, but a quick wash and they'll be good as new again!

do i have to take all my clothes off?

Not if you don't want to! We're here to make you feel amazing so wear whatever makes you comfortable. We also provide a disposable g-string if you don't want to wear your own.

what do i do after my tan

After your tan you need to marinate my friend!

Processing time will depend on the product and the depth of colour you want so we will discuss that with you at the time of your appointment.

Once you've processed then it's shower time!

We suggest around 1-2 minutes tops in lukewarm water. Let the water run over you until it's running clear and then pat dry.

We've attached our aftercare sheet at the bottom of the page for more info!

can i leave it on longer than you recommend?

You can but it really isn't going to do anything other than make you sheets dirty! All of our tans range from 1-3 hours developing time.

Trust us with the time frame we give you, we won't do you wrong!

i don't look as brown after my shower, is this normal?

DON'T PANIC! This is perfectly normal. What has washed away was just bronzer, your tan is in your skin and is still developing.

what products do you use?

We have two ranges and five beautiful colours.

We use Mine Tan and Three Warriors. By incorporating the two ranges into our tanning process we literally have tan to suit everybody!

Better still both ranges are cruelty free and have organic, vegan and vegetarian options!

Is it okay for people with sensitive skin?

Touch wood we haven't had any reactions, but as always we are more than happy to do a patch test for you anytime!

will i go orange?

Not on our watch! Actually with the way spray tanning has developed in the last ten years (excuse the pun!), as a professional spray tanner it is virtually impossible to make someone orange!

How long does it take?

The process of having your tan takes around 20 minutes!

We will have a chat and work out your ideal colour then take you through to the tan booth.

How long does it last?

If you're good and follow our aftercare instructions you should get a good 7-10 days out of your tan.

how many days before my event is best to tan?

We usually suggest two days before. It gives your tan at the very minimum 24 hours to settle and look flawless!

can you tan if you're pregnant or breastfeeding?

There is no testing to show that tanning in unsafe during pregnancy however studies have noted that hormonal changes can affect the colour and longevity of your tan in the first trimester.

As with anything if you're unsure best to consult your doctor!

With breastfeeding we usually say either wear nipple covers or a bra just to keep that area from being exposed.

do i still need to wear sunscreen?

100% yes! This is a non negotiable. Your tan will not protect you from those harsh rays. Especially here in Tasmania!

will swimming affect my tan?

It can. Excessive swimming in both chlorine and salt water can reduce the longevity of your tan.

i work out a lot can i still tan?

You sure can we actually have a special tan specifically for people who work out a lot! It's designed so that the sweat will pass through your skin without making you sweat you tan off.. WINNING!
